Student Learning Goals and Outcomes

Student Learning Goals and Outcomes

The plan, to be implemented in Spring 2022, includes three goals, each with two student learning outcomes. The three interrelated goals of the QEP are:

(I) assisting students to value research and ethical research practices,

(II) helping students to analyze research, and

(III) enabling students to propose and produce a research experience.

The goals are accomplished through the following six student learning outcomes in which students will:

(1) recognize the utility of research or inquiry appropriate to their discipline;

(2) differentiate ethical aspects of research or inquiry appropriate to their discipline;

(3) evaluate a body of research, inquiry, or creative expression appropriate to their discipline;

(4) synthesize a body of research, inquiry, or creative expression appropriate to their discipline;

(5) design a research, inquiry, or creative expression appropriate to their discipline; and

(6) implement a research, inquiry, or creative expression appropriate to their discipline.
