Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
Texas State University is seeking reaffirmation of accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). This process is already underway and will be finalized in 2020. While part of the process includes a report on how Texas State currently complies with SACSCOC compliance standards, a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) will propose the enhancement of educational quality at Texas State beyond 2020. This vision plan will focus on supporting student learning and on accomplishing the mission of our university.
In 2017, the QEP Theme Development Team will meet to discuss the nature of the QEP and propose ideas for themes. The QEP Theme Development Team includes representatives of stakeholders from, among others, Divisions, Colleges, Faculty Senate, Staff Council, Student Government, the Grad House, and other student groups. The Leadership Team (consisting of the President's Cabinet, the SACSCOC Liaison, and a representative from the faculty) will review themes proposed by the QEP Theme Development Team before arriving at the selected topic. A QEP Development Team representing a variety of constituent groups with direct interest to the selected theme will be formed and charged with the development of the organizational and functional details of the Quality Enhancement Plan.
Faculty, staff and students interested in the development of the QEP are invited to attend one of the QEP Open Forums or to provide comments, suggest ideas, or request information via SACSCOC_QEP@txstate.edu.
